5 Building Work Exchanges Looking For Volunteers

One of the things I love about doing these work exchange posts (and we have quite a few coming up in the next few months) is seeing all the wonderful and creative things people are doing around the world. Building projects are a prime example. Sometimes they are simply a means to an end but often a building project is merely the beginning and the structure created with your help will house a school for disadvantaged local children, an art installation or eco-friendly business or charity – often requiring their own volunteer helpers to keep going.

There isn’t going to be a great deal of work done at The Working Traveller for the next month as the football World Cup returns to its adopted home for the first time since 1950. If watching three games a day slumped in front of the TV inspires you to a) go out and get some fresh air and b) do something football related, then there are numerous football gap years around the world that can help and where you can be of help.

Let’s Put on an Airshow Right Here

Surry’s Dunsfold Aerodrome is better known as the home of BBC’s Top Gear but on August 23 and 24 Wings and Wheels will wow crowds of over 30,000 with a variety of dynamic aviation and motoring displays, iconic cars and aircraft. Much of this is put together with volunteer help.
