We first learned about Sovereign Academy (then called Blacksmith Liberty & Entrepreneurship Camp) when we interviewed Nigel Clifford about his Adventure Underwear Kickstarter launch.
Described as a crash course in reality, a ‘how to’ guide for breaking free and becoming successful, the four day camp is aimed at young entrepreneurs and held each summer beside a lake in Trakai, Lithiania.
Students and instructors explore the concepts of liberty, entrepreneurship and investing. The days filled with dynamic, interactive lectures, small group workshops, presentations, debates, and practical exercises.
Nigel Clifford said: “We were pummelled with practical advice from self-made millionaires like Simon Black, Craig Ballantyne, Sam Wolanyk and Brian Tanura. Not only did the camp give me clear objectives to focus on for my business, but it was also an amazing networking opportunity, I actually met my business partner for Adventure Underwear at this camp.”
This year the camp will run from August 6 to 10. There is no fee to attend the camp: organisers cover all costs of accommodation and food.
Only 50 places are available each summer but, aside from an age limit of 18 to 25, there are no set criteria to apply. Instead they look for a genuine desire to learn, grow, and achieve more. The deadline to submit an application for 2015 is March 31.
