Make Travel Fair Travel Writing Competition

Make Travel Fair, a progressive travel blog and network, has themed this years travel writing competition around the World Cup in South Africa.

WritingFirst prize is the opportunity to write your way into an internship with WHL Consulting, a seven night stay in a South African lodge and your article published online.

Only one submission, an original piece up to 1500 words, is allowed per applicant and entries must address the following question:

“A major sporting event creates a large influx of tourism to the host destination. What are the implications and benefits of that influx of travellers to a destination like South Africa?”

Make Travel Fair was established at the end of 2006 as an online platform to communicate some of the global issues associated with travel, to encourage education amongst travellers and to encourage travel as a means of education.

Entries should be submitted by midnight (GMT) July 25th. More information at www.maketravelfair.co.uk/the-backdoor/
