My Bad Travel Photo: Trying (and Failing) to Use the Light of a Concert to Get a Great Shot

While entering what I think is an actual decent shot for the current Travel Photo Roulette I noticed the host had won the previous event with a photo similar to something I had tried myself. The difference is he succeeded and won a photography competition while my attempts are a pitiful failure.

Getting Good Shots at Petra

Though Petra is a sizeable site most of the classic sights stretch along a well-trodden nexus after emerging from the narrow cleft of the Siq at the Treasury. The Treasury in particular is a difficult place to fire off a photo without someone’s head in the way but it is possible to maintain the illusion, and even at times enjoy the reality, of having the iconic building to yourself.
