Offices around the world submitted by travel bloggers and digital nomads

The Digital Nomad’s Office

Though they put a lot of effort and angst into escaping their cubicles, digital nomads and travel bloggers still need a work space to call their own.

Without a boss to make the decision for them, these itinerant workers have all of the wifi enabled world to choose from. Hostel rooms, bar tables, sun loungers and hammocks are all press ganged into service in their efforts to get their words and photos to you.

Before our last trip I planned to take a picture of each of our ‘offices’ but in the end didn’t take a single one. Easily distracted by conversation, screen glare, shiny things and wasps, I prefer to work inside but other digital nomads and travel bloggers are more appreciative of their surrounds.

As these pictures show, most bloggers demonstrate a preference for working in the sunny outdoors, with a cracking view and within shouting range of a cold one.

    Nice set of pictures!

I can never get used to working outside though, I always want to shut the laptop and do the nomad stuff, rather than the digital stuff.

I think Johnny Vagabond’s set up suits me best. A nice view but inside and away from distraction.

Congratulations on the apartment. You’ll be in good company in Chiang Mai – I’m astonished we didn’t get a photo from there.
