Volunteer workers can save hundreds of pounds on the price of tickets to the Snowbombing Festival held in the Mayrhofen, in the Austrian Alps. Sometimes referred to as Ibiza on ice, Snowbombing is the biggest after season party in the Alps and surely the only festival to combine skiing and electronic music.
The festival takes place this year from April 7 to 12 on stages – including one in a forest – and the slopes of Mayrhofen. Other events include a themed street party.
Volunteer stewards are required to work from April 6 to 13 to undertake a variety of tasks including event branding and dismantling, repping coaches to the resort from the UK, street stewarding and night stewarding. Production runners are also wanted to assist in the production office, drive vehicles in the resort and deliver items across the festival site.
In return, successful applicants will receive a festival wristband, ski and lift pass and all meals. Applicants should be keen and talented individuals who can think outside the box and are not scared to put in hard work.
Acts in 2014 include the Chemical Brothers, Chase and Status, Carl Cox, the Prodigy, Rudimental, Clean Bandit, Tom Odell, Jaguar Skills, London Elektricity, Shy FX, Nic Fanciulli, Jakwob, the Cuban Brothers, James Zabiela, Krafty Kuts, Gorgon City, Stanton Warriors and DJ Yoda.
