Once again the long dead Winston Churchill is generously offering to fund the journeys of several lucky travellers.
Set up after his death the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust provides bursaries to British citizens to allow them to study areas of topical and personal interest for the benefit of their profession or community.
The grants cover all travel expenses, food, accommodation and insurance for a four to eight week period. Australians and New Zealanders can apply for grants in their own countries.
To be awarded a grant for 2013, your employment or personal interests must fit into the following categories:
- Business in Society
- Communities that Work
- Environment, Food and Rural Affairs
- Medical and Health
- Prison and Penal Reform
- Science, Engineering and Technology
- The Arts and Older People
- The Creative Industries
The closing date for applications is October 2nd, 2012 and travel must take place within one year of being awarded a Fellowship.
